Art Culture and Community Forum 2010: Weds May 19th, 2010
Proactive change is the name of the game.
This year's forum will bring together artists, gallerists and arts administrators to discuss the complex questions of who artists are within the social structure of a community, how can they solidify their standing amongst that community and what methods they've employed to effect change.
After each of the panelists a brief overview of their practices and community involvement, the forum will be open for a moderated discussion with audience members.
The Primary objective of the Art, Culture and Community Forum is to unify the community of cultural producers in Hoboken and help them find their strength and their voice.
Moderator Craig Wallace Dale will lead a panel discussion of artists who have found their voices and created change and opportunity in their community.

Meredith Lippman:
Program development specialist at Hudson County Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs.
Tara Thurber:
Curator at Paul Vincent Studios and Gallery in Hoboken.
Uta Brauser:
Founder of "Creative Grove Artist Market" and "Fish with Braids" Art Gallery in Jersey City.
Tim Daly:
Artist and community activist
Duda Penteado:
Artist, educator and community activist
Liz Cohen
President of "Hob'art Co-operative Gallery"
