Ana Nunez: Saturday March 21st, 2009 7:30pm

NJ Based artist Ana Nunez will feature her art @ the Closing event for RAW.

Ana's work will be featured in the Green room of tonight's exhibition. Her work provides a touching counterpoint to the art of Danielle Scott.

While most of the exhibition deals with RAW human emotion, the subtle complexities of Ana's work provide a warm tone.

SNAZLFEST 2009: COME OUT AND CHILL!!!!!

I have ALWAYS wanted to play at the Sidewalk cafe. Its my first perfomrance here, and I have been asked to bring people in order to secure another perfomance, so I hope my frineds will be yelling the LOUDEST in the entire room.

This brings up the point that we have GOTS to represent. I have heard alot of really great msuicians come through the Sidewalks Doors, but this is my first performance ever, and I soooo want to make it a good one.

We are supposed to go to a barefoot party afterwards. Lots of dancing and stuff, so If you want to see my two left feet first hand,

Fat Tuesday // FATTER WEDNESDAY!!!!!

Bad grammer can be such a bold statement.

The Music is too hot to be listened to alone.
So there is a big push to get attendance into this next event.

My boys DUB PROOF will be the featured musicians for the evening, and they sound great!!
Its the perfect companion to the larger dance floor we have created for those lovely lovely hippies and sophisticates.

I love how many of my Jersey City Friends have come out, as well as friends from all 0ver New Jersey and New York City. We have peeps coming out from Brooklyn and all over. Notice I did not say anything about my fellow Hobokenites.

For a Mile-Square City, there is not much support from the immidiete community of musicians.
This is a terribly depressing thing to say, especially since I am hosting a website dedicated to bringing art and culture to Hoboken. In response, I see this as a GREAT opporunity to encourage all those who are not from the town to come on in and visit, and enjoy the awesome tunes coming out of this small town with big plans.

SO KEEP COMING!!!! All yall from far, far away! All those peeps who heard through Jam base and so on. We welcome your time, attendance, and heard earned attention. Yall make a long-haired musician happy!!

The Art of Lau Gallico Klohe: One Decadent Evening

The Art of Lau Gallico Klohe will be taking place tonight @ the 4th of Jackson Gallery Space in Hoboken, NJ.

Its a real treat to be surrounded by these ominously exciting pieces. I attributed the name "Dead Betty Art" to the style, only becasue the ladies in the art pieces tend to be attractive and relieved of skin.

Regardless, we are doubly pleased to show the art here b/c after this show, the art will be moved to SHADES @ The Monroe Center.  Certainly a welcome backdrop for "The OTHER JAM Session".

If you are interestedin attending this event, please send an email to roland.ramos77@gmail.com.

The OTHER Jam SESSION has Moved.....

Wow,
Just when things start heating up, the jam moves.
Starting Feb 4th, the Jam will move to Shades Lounge; the sparkly Marble-hued den of the Monroe Center.

I have been assured that the jam will not last without a sufficient audience.

I really love the decor, the drinks, and the NEW BARTENDER WHO WILL BE ASSISTING VISITING PATRONS WITH DRINKS!!!! So the least we can do is visit the wonderful bartender.
This jam moving to shades is supposed to be a temporary thing, BUT if the attendance warrants an extended jam schedule, then that is what we will do.

I want to say Big up to the Monroe Bar, and their awesome support of the arts. i look forward to the jam coming back

Danielle Scott: Visualization Session

On Saturday Jan 17th, D. Scott came by 4th and Jackson to assess the space she was to use for her installation piece. It was a good meeting,a nd the space was well received. Anyone familiar with Danielle's art is well aware of her writing talents and her attention to detail.

We discussed her vision of the show, and how her installation piece will most likely revolve around transformation, bloodletting, and/or some other classification of metamorphoses. We discussed the use of fabric, and other aspects of how this was going to play out. The opening day is Feb, Friday the 13th. Its going to be a wonderful day.

It is very exciting to see how these things come together.

Let the Jam Begin: Weds Jan 14th: 9:00pm

I am super excited to get this jam on.
I put the word out to my peeps that there was an opportunity to jam on Wedsday, and it has been well recieved. Tonight being Tuesday, I amputting out the rest of the fliers today to get the word out. Roll of Tape: CHECK. New Flyers: CHECK. Warm Jacket: CHECK.

the Drummer Joe responded to a craigslist ad, and sounded great from his Myspace music. Regarding resident bassist, Victor Cornette, I have the utmost faith that we shall rock together. We have played together for 5 years, and have looked forward to getting into the swing of things once again.

The PA system is cooking, and the mic stands will be working overtime. I am so glad to be doing this for our friends here in hoboken. Sure, there are lots of clubs and stuff, but there is little opportunity outside of private facilities to simply jam with friends. I willbe posting photos and vids of Weds once I have them.

Come rock out with us, it's @ 302 Monroe St in Hoboken. 2 blocks from the 2nd street light rail.
9:00pm till wheneva.

What is Artifications???

Artification’s mandate is to bring culture to Hoboken residents in the form of music, quality art, theatre, dance and performance art. In this wonderful city, there is a stunning shortage of art. Artification works with the Monroe center to bring visibility to Hoboken artists while also inviting quality artists to display their art in Hoboken.

American cities undergoing gentrification unknowingly marginalize artists. Through steep rents and a stifling lack of gallery space, artists are forced to look elsewhere for reasonable work and display spaces. In Hoboken, a city that embodies gentrification, Artification is working to reverse that trend, and bring art back to the Mile Square City.

We need your help to do this.
